GERE PLAYED PIANO is the long awaited solo piano release from musician extrodinaire, Miss Gere Fennelly (88 Magic). Gere is a true genius and cult phenomenon. Spending her teens as a rock star in Japan (with the band ROX), she then went on to be the toast of San Francisco, flooring people with her classically trained, yet outrageously flamboyant playing. As well as being a church organist since the age of ten and playing for countless dance studios, Gere has played with Redd Kross, Specimen and Abby Travis, among others. But it is as a solo artist that Gere truly shines, playing such varied venues as Largo, the Viper Room and Marie Calendars, and opening for such motley acts as Jane's Addiction, Tony Bennett, and Tenacious D. Gere Fennelly is truly our generation's Liberace.

On Gere Played Piano, 88 Magic renders her own unique versions of David Bowie, XTC, Thelonius Monk, Glenn Miller, Albinoni and Beethoven, 88 Magic's music must be heard to be believed!
